Schiaparelli Takes Its First Steps Into Asia With A Surrealist Hong Kong Salon

Schiaparelli has opened its first permanent Asia salon in Hong Kong. The appointment-only space spans 1,700 square feet and sits inside Landmark Princeโ€™s Building in Central, designed as a jewel-box setting that echoes the maisonโ€™s surrealist codes.

The salon functions as a private client destination for couture and high jewellery appointments, and signals Schiaparelliโ€™s continued expansion in the region with a focus on controlled, high-touch retail rather than rapid rollout.

A Surrealist Sanctuary In Central

Keen to translate Schiaparelliโ€™s Place Vendรดme codes into a Hong Kong setting, creative director Daniel Roseberry worked with Swedish studio Halleroed on a Central salon wrapped in black, ivory and molten gold. Oval motifs and a curved brushed-gold entrance lead into lacquered walls, veined marble floors and mirrored surfaces that heighten the sense of scale, while the layout moves away from a conventional boutique format in favour of interconnected rooms that unfold like a private residence. A VIP salon sits as the focal point, conceived as a sequence of intimate chambers designed to frame the houseโ€™s couture and high jewellery.

Roseberryโ€™s hand-drawn motifs sweep across the ceilings, stitching the rooms together and reappearing in gold-tile mosaic niches and a sculptural bathtub repurposed as a jewellery display. The overall experience is immersive, built for slower, room-by-room discovery, with Hong Kongโ€™s glass-and-steel skyline serving as a sharp counterpoint to the maisonโ€™s surrealist universe.

An Appointment-Only Salon

The Hong Kong salon opens with a tightly selected edit of Schiaparelliโ€™s Spring/Summer 2026 ready-to-wear, leather goods and jewellery, positioned alongside signature house pieces that foreground its surrealist tailoring language. The selection centres on the codes collectors come for: anatomical hardware, gilded embroidery work, and the brandโ€™s most recognisable leather icons, including the Secret and Face bags.

In keeping with the Place Vendรดme salon model, access is strictly by appointment, reinforcing an intimacy-first approach to retail within a highly immersive setting. Clients are guided through the space for one-on-one consultations, with time built in to examine construction up close, discuss alterations, and shape a personalised Schiaparelli wardrobe with dedicated advisors.

ย A Strategic Asia Debut

For Schiaparelli, choosing Hong Kong for its first permanent Asia salon reads as a measured bet on a city that still rewards craft and discretion. Rather than chasing volume, the maison is keeping its footprint tight: a salon format built around privacy and one-on-one time that suits couture and high jewellery.

The move also clarifies how Schiaparelli is approaching growth. And while the wider luxury market has been uneven, this Central opening places Hong Kong firmly back in the conversation as a serious destination for selective luxury.
