The Borough Market favourite, best known for its crème brûlée doughnuts, has officially opened its first Thailand outpost at Siam Paragon.

From Borough Market To Bangkok

Originally from London, Bread Ahead grew a devoted following for its filled doughnuts, particularly its signature Crème Brûlée Doughnut. The bakery is known for freshly made brioche dough and generous fillings, with each batch using flour imported from the UK and going through a three-day fermentation process before being shaped and fried fresh daily.

The recipes and techniques closely follow those used at Bread Ahead’s original London locations, bringing the same attention to detail that turned a seemingly everyday pastry into one of the city’s most recognisable bakery exports.

The Doughnut Everyone Comes For

Among the line-up, one flavour still leads the pack.

The Crème Brûlée Doughnut has become Bread Ahead’s calling card, filled with rich vanilla custard and finished with a caramelised sugar crust that cracks satisfyingly with every bite. It is the doughnut that launched a thousand social media posts, and arguably the one most likely to turn first-time visitors into loyal fans.

Other standouts include Pistachio, Sea-Salted Honeycomb Caramel and Blackcurrant Cheesecake.

For its Thailand debut, the brand has also introduced an exclusive Uji Matcha & White Chocolate Doughnut, a flavour created with local tastes in mind and one likely to land well with Bangkok’s matcha crowd.
