Aēsop Brings Its Animal Wash To Life At Hong Kong Paw Parlours

Who let the dogs out at Aēsop? This sweltering summer, the cult skincare brand is giving Hong Kong’s four-legged residents their moment at the basin, with select stores becoming ‘Paw Parlours’ in celebration of Animal, Aēsop’s mild yet aromatic skin-and-fur wash for pets.

Across a series of weekends, pups and their humans can book pampering wash sessions, pose for Polaroid portraits and pick up customised bandanas – all in classic Aēsop style, just with more wagging tails.

For The Well-Coiffed Companion

Launched in 1999, Animal occupies a niche corner of Aēsop’s universe: a gently foaming wash for fur and skin, with the same aromatic appeal the brand is known for.

Formulated with conditioning ingredients and essential oils, its fresh citrus and herbaceous scent combines Lemon Rind, Tea Tree Leaf and Spearmint Leaf – robust enough for Hong Kong’s humidity while remaining considerate of sensitive snouts and noses.

Already a favourite among pet owners who prefer their bathrooms to smell of citrus and herbs rather than wet dog, Aēsop is giving Animal renewed attention this year by turning select stores into spaces for both hands and paws. The Paw Parlours take Animal off the shelf and into a shared pampering moment, making bath time feel less like a chore.

Little Touches For Loyal Paws

Across late July and early August, three Hong Kong locations will become Aēsop Paw Parlours, with Animal wash waiting by the basin to be tried on both hands and paws. During the city’s relentless summer heat, Aēsop is extending the same slow, attentive care to pups that their owners already know from the brand.

Each session begins with a guided wash at the basin, where Aēsop consultants will show pups and their humans how Animal can fit easily into at-home grooming. Guests will also receive a few extra treats along the way, both edible and wearable, including Polaroid pet portraits and customised bandanas.

Visitors are encouraged to book ahead, as space is limited.
