One of Bangkok’s most inventive malls, Terminal 21 Asok turns every shopping stop into a mini trip around the world. Want the thrill of a real bargain hunt rather than a designer boutique? MBK Center, a Bangkok landmark, packs over 2,000 small shops – electronics, phone accessories, luggage, cheap clothes, souvenirs, and more – into its eight floors for the wonderfully chaotic energy of an air-conditioned open market. Prices here are also generally friendlier than at Bangkok’s glossy mega-malls, and haggling is just another part of the experience at many independent stalls. It can get busy and a bit overwhelming at times, but that’s exactly why MBK remains one of the city’s most entertaining places to shop.
